The persimmons, the roses, the daffodils,/ The dandelions, the pine and crash/ Sprinkles rain like your eyes,/ It rushes up inside me, spitting out my navel, acrylic on canvas, 30 x 40"

Like two boulders down a stream/ Skipping down the riverbed over the years/ Getting smaller and smaller/ Rock, stone, gravel, pebble./ Sand, silt/ You end up feeling very unimportant/ Together you feel like a bee/ Or a fish, crepuscular in its buddhist diagrams/ And there’s only a few talk show hosts every night/ Every cities a shade of grey glass, winding freeways/ And some tolls, through/ Kansas at least/ I want to hold your hand, I want you to hold mine/ Felt like the old neighborhoods of LA today/ In the wooded could de sacs/ I tried to give you every book I was going to finish/ If I hadn’t been sick to my stomach/ My idea of a man:/ One that loves another deeply, wholeheartedly/ And one that may allow themselves/ To be broken entirely by heartbreak, acrylic on canvas, 30 x 40"
